Korean drama - day 1: Arriving at the hostel at Hapjeong (24.11.11)

It was 8 plus in the morning! I woke up in shock before the alarm rang. Around 11:20am the cab came. My parents insisted on taking the cab all the way to the airport.

Preview of Korean Drama Series...
I arrived early and realised my bad habit has never improved. This time, I missed my earpiece. With five hours of flight to endure on an Airasia flight, I couldn't wait till I reach my destination and bought an expensive one, which I eventually didn't use at all in the plane! I spent a lot of time listening to my snore in the dream instead.

I was flying to Korea. My first trip to that part of the world. There was still time for lunch. I had my first Tom Yam KFC. It was pretty much the same as my favourite original flavour with just a dash of Tom Yam taste! Bought some bread to have them, sneakily on board.

Korean Beer, here I come!
I was squeezed between two ladies!! Wow!! Well in normal circumstances, this kind of arrangement was a dream! But not when you even felt like opening your mouth to eat at all.

Anyway, one of them is a Korean student graduated from KL INTI colleage! With one of her other friends only because the rest had given up about a couple of months struggling with English. It was indeed very tough for them to survive through the course since most of them had no knowledge of English at all when they come.

Around 8:30pm the announcement informed that we reached. By 10pm local time, we landed. Korea is an hour difference. It was 3 degree.

Immediately I noticed a trend. The locals like to hang their hook over the head, especially for the ladies.

We still need to catch a train to the custom clearance area. Around 10:30pm, I managed to claim my baggage and exit without any hassle at all. No questions asked!! Singapore passport bravo!!!

Anne haseyo!
The bus stop was very easy to locate. Waited about 20min for the bus outside in the cold and met two teachers from Penang, Malaysia, queuing in front of me.

W10,000 was a very reasonable bus ride. The announcement was made in Korean, English, Japanese and even Mandarin!!

About 40min later reached the first stop, Hapjeong where I was supposed to alight. It was pretty cold indeed even at 3 degree. I followed the map. Go straight, turn right, turn left, turn right, go straight. Reached. It was pretty easy to find. The office was closed. I called the number and glad the owner still allow me to check in. It was already 12am. 4 hours passed their office hours!

Chat with a French in the same dorm for a while before taking my shower. Then walked to Family Mart (convenient store) just outside for some hot snack.

Came back trying to find where the world were those power plugs. Gave up and knocked off at 2am!
