Have not wake up so early before. showered, packed and checked out. no time for breakfast cause a friend from shanghai has arrived at the train station. Jo wanted to join me for hike. it was rainy pretty heavy outside. what a way to start the day! luckily the walk to the station was short. we met up and took a bus to tangkou. cost us 15rmb each. the rain got heavier =[ are we going to stuck in the hotel?! =[ Jo has a friend, Eva. she said I look like a 流氓博士 (gangster scholar). she recognized me by my golden hair then!
we reached tangkou and got a transport immediately to the eastern gate for 13rmb. got our entrance ticket about 60rmb and started our hike in the rain. it was a tough day. we basically drained ourselves when we reached the top at xihai hotel after about 7 hours!! so glad I bought the water-proof bags to keep my laptop and other clothes/stuffs totally dry. quickly have a good shower. the room was pretty ok. guys are 7-8 people sharing and there is toilet inside each room with toothbrush provided. the best thing was the heater inside the room, which can basically dry up every single things that u hang!!
we had a buffet dinner and knock off bed early by 8pm. so u must be wondering how was the scenery. well, we came at the perfect timing because today and the next few days will be raining till 15 oct!!! I overheard the German in my room complaining to his girlfriend about the weather. Lost all mood and wanted to go back to shanghai asap since there was nothing can be seen. we decided to give it a try again tomorrow.
